This dataset integrates remote sensing data (i.e. vegetation indices, hybrid cultivated land products, and paddy field maps), irrigation statistics and surveys, and irrigation suitability maps to create annual maps of irrigated cultivated land in China from 2000 to 2020. The newly developed map (CIrrMap250) has a spatial resolution of 250 meters and was drawn annually from 2000 to 2020.
1. Remote sensing data (i.e. vegetation indices, hybrid cultivated land products, and paddy field maps);
2. Irrigation statistics and surveys, as well as irrigation suitability maps.
Obtain the final data by integrating remote sensing data, statistical data, and relevant maps.
The pixel size is 0.00225 × 0.00225 degrees (approximately 250 meters × 250 meters on the equator). The map displays the percentage of irrigated farmland coverage in each 250 meter pixel (i.e. pixel value=irrigated area/pixel area x 100).
